I'm also itching to go back to the loctician so she can give me an updo or a pretty style for a wedding I'm attending this weekend. But her salon closes at 5pm and I don't leave work until 5pm. Sucks much, uh? So, I had to do some research on styles for medium-lengthed locs that aren't curls. I love my curls but I want something different. It's SO hard to find information for us loc'ers who are in between. We're not short but we don't have super long locs either. I refuse to not know how to do my own hair. So I've got a lot of learning and practicing to do.
These videos have been CRAZY helpful.
My life will be SO complete
Anywhoovers....I'm inspired now!
If you have any suggestions or know of any other videos and/or styles for medium-lengthed locs, leave them in the comments section. I'm going to make this post a sticky on the side for reference.

I wanna try this with my loose hair. We'll see what I end up with. LOL
Though i don't really care about hair length, i'm looking forward to my locs being longer just so i can style my hair more and do styles that have been done by Chescaleigh/Chescalocs. The not-too-short but not too long enough to style stage is frustrating because you want to spice it up a little but you can't (other than wearing a loc jewelry piece).
The tender headed thing, I noticed I'm more sensitive with locs too, I think because I don't brush or comb my hair on a daily basis that my scalp is now sensitive to any form of tension. That's my theory
Thanks for this post! I JUST realized I do NOTHING with my locs. After reading this, I hopped on the 'tube and started searching for styles. I tried my first one yesterday and I had sooo many compliments! I also realized my locs are longer than I thought. I am going to keep experimenting. Thanks for the locspiration!
I discovered that first video a while back, and I LOVE that style! Dumb easy, super cute, and fast -- perfect for moi! Thanks for sharing the others.
Re the sensitive scalp, it's (at least partly) because when you have locs, your scalp isn't getting pulled or tugged on from brushing or combing (like laloced said), so it's extra sensitive. Once you start styling it regularly (pulling it back, pinning it up, whatever), it will become less sensitive with time.
titilayo---> That makes A LOT of sense!!!!
