The Long Lost Hairstyle: Curls
It's been a quick minute since I've thrown some curls up in the locs. And for good reason--my locs have gotten too long and too thick to curl. I mean, my goodness. I remember the pre-combined locs days where I could get away with the three locs in one roller but no ma'am, some of my locs are so thick, that I struggle to get them to roll into ONE roller. So yeah. That makes for one frustrating rolling session.
But I finally got them all in. I'm going to have to stick with all smaller rods. I used larger ones in the back and the curls didn't come out AS curly.
I didn't even care. I have my curls and now all is well with the world.
Yeah, y'all know those last two pictures came from Clumps of Mascara. I'm hoping these curls will last well into December. We shall seeeee.

I see you B.. *cat calls B*. I love your curls. I personally cannot have curls last longer than 3-5 days because at that point I HAVE to wash. eh.. Looking good though lol
Please friend can you curl my locs?
sooooooooooo cute...
i have a new blog by the way:

YBW---> 3-5 days? Chile boo, as long as it took to get these thangs up in there, they will stay for at least 2 weeks. But then again, you know I'm mega lazy when it comes to washing my hair.
Sammy---> Of course! I'll bring my rods down in 2 weeks and we'll curl 'em up!
Chizzy---> Thanks! Off to check out your blog.
girl I try to be lazy but my scalp is NOT playing it.
Beautiful!
Beautiful!
I use (jumbo) soft set rods for mine and been meaning to check out lock loops (www.lockloops.com) after seeing so many rave reviews about them on youtube. My locs are almost waist length now and when I lose track of my rods, I use lottabody setting lotion and wrap my hair in bantu knots and it comes out just as pretty. Try that if you feel that your hair is too long for rollers.
peace,
Ronnie
The curls are very beautiful :)you look amazing
I'm loving the curls.
Pipe cleaners work well for your length of hair and the curls last FOREVER!! They will last as you don't wash your hair so you can be as lazy as you want. Curls are the one thing I miss about my locs. I combed them out, by the way. (honeydippednapps.blogspot.com)
I'm loving the glasses/curls combo.
I just received my Loc Loops and will be trying them soon. I don't know about weeks and weeks, but I plan to get at least one.
cute cute cute!!!!!! I loved when I had my little curls on top but I HATED sitting under the dryer *sigh*
hi b! cute, cute, cute curls! yeah, my hair is past my shoulders and my curls are definitely more "shirley temple-ish" now because of the weight. lovin' the glasses, too. your locs look fantabulous! when you get a chance, check out my blogs: http://divaqueenjanellocs.blogspot.com and http://www.levelsofbeauty.com. love ya and happy thanksgiving! blessings...
Cute! I should buy rollers like those, but they look uncomfortable! I have the long foam rollers. Last time I wore curls, I just put my locs into bantu knots after washing them and let them air dry overnight. The curls lasted a good while!
Super Cute! I like the curls.
I did my first braidout, I will try to curls soon...I have to post pics on my blog w/them.

Wow! Your curls look great! What do you use to set them?
Co-sign with Ms. Honey Dip. Pipe cleaners are athe TRUF. at .77 for 25, they are CHEAP and more comfy to sleep in IMO than rollers or rods. I just did some curls yesterday! Great minds think alike!
I can't get mine to last for more than two days...they FALL...
sigh.
Me either Glo! Thankfully, mine are pretty as they fal, but the fall nonetheless...le sigh
Your curls are wonderful!!!
Do you ever try to curl your hair with pipe cleaners? They are cheaper, less bulky and more comfortable to sleep in.
Gorgeous!!! I can't wait until I can't throw a few rollers up in these locs!!! Yours looks AWESOME!
Your curls are quite lovely! I made an extremely unsuccesful attempt with pipe cleaners. I'll have to give these curl rollers a try the type you used.
