What do you mean, WHAT celebration? My locs turn 2-years old in a week.
I know, I know. For those of y'all who have been following me since Day 1, I know you can't believe it either. I know I can't. I'm trying to think of how I'll wear the locs to celebrate. With the holiday season all up on my wallet, going to my loctician *tears* isn't an option. So, I think I'll be revisiting...
That's right. Pipe cleaner curls. So what do y'all think? Yay or nay?
P.S.
Why is Chescaleigh so friggin' cool? She is one of the few natural ladies that I can watch on YouTube who won't put me to sleep because she is so entertaining AND informative. Seriously.
So what do you think, lovelies?

It's amazing! I like it! With the pipe cleaners I would just make sure to use ones close to your color in case of fluff.
Girl yes...I learned my lesson. The last time I tried pipe cleaner curls I used colorful pipe cleaners. I had red, orange and green fuzz everywhere. #FAIL
LOVE the new design!!! Congratulations on nearing two years. I am so thankful for the thoroughness of your journey as you provide it here on LocRocker.com. It is such a great source for people like me who are just starting out on this loc'd life. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to what this new year will bring for you and your locs!
Aww, thanks for the love and support, lovely! Now update us on the baby locs!
LOVE EM! love the new site look and CONGRATS IN ADVANCE on your Locversity!
Congrats B! I'm almost heading up to my 2 year mark two, next month. The site looks great! So proud of ya :)
Love the updated site!!
And you know I LOVE pipe cleaner curls! That's the one thing I miss about my locs. That style is so easy and versatile and it lasts FOREVER. Go for it!!
Hey B, I have read your blog for a while now and I have to say I truly enjoy it! The new design is nice too! And congrats on two years!
LOVE the new design. It is very fitting. The colors are great.
I have done the pipe cleaner curls many times and I love them. It is one of the only styles that will last a couple of weeks. I think they will be great.
Thank you, lovelies!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new look. The vector art is HOT!
I've personally done the pipe cleaner curls on my short locs when they were about 2.5 months old or so. They came out awesome, but because of my length, I couldn't wait for them to fall because they were sitting right on top of my head for days. They lasted for a good two weeks and the retwist I did before them lasted another week after I they dropped. Awesome protective style and very cute. I plan on trying it again in a couple months, maybe sooner. I think they'll look amazing on your hair. <3
I wasn't too keen on the pipe cleaners. The curls were alright but they left lots of fluff in my hair and some of my dreads got twisted in the wire.
I just tried Lock Loops a few days ago I much prefer them over pipe cleaners. They were quicker to put in and more comfortable to sleep in.
I have the results posted on my blog if you'd like to see the outcome...
I love the new site layout! And I loooooove Chescalocs' video. Her hair came out great! I've heard good things about pipe cleaner curls...it's on my list to buy some in bulk SOON. Can't wait to try them and compare to my bantu knots method!
Congrats on your 2 year loc anniversary, B! :)
